I am excited for my 297th marathon this weekend at the Skagit Flats Marathon in NW Washington. I have run this marathon for the past 20 years and it is a beautiful marathon in rural farm country. I can’t begin to tell you who excited I am to be down to the last three marathons leading up to my 300th in December.
I had a great 3.5 hours on the trails here in Spokane this past weekend. It was in Riverside State Park on single track trails and it was a beautiful day. When we were high up on a ridge we noticed a sign about being careful because of a recent cougar sighting in the area! We moved a little quicker after that!
I was honored to do a live phone interview with Q13 Fox TV Seattle on Friday.
My 298th marathon will be Victoria and I hope everyone is getting excited about the day as I am. I always enjoy the Victoria Marathon because it is the start of October which is breast cancer awareness month. The last six years have been an amazing journey as I will be celebrating my 6th year anniversary as a breast cancer survivor as well!
I love this quote and wanted to share it with you all. “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”
Everyone have a great week. Raise your head up and look around, there is a whole world out there to see!
