No. There will be no replacements made on race morning. No Bib Tag = No Results.

No. Kids Run participants will be distinguished by their race shirt and number.

Until September 15, 2020 you can transfer your race registration to another person, but it must be done through your registration.  Login to your Race Roster account and then click Transfer, then Transfer to a New Person. Follow the instructions.

You must do the transfer and by Sept 15. A person running in your place with a different gender or a different age group can lead to errors in the results, and deny legitimate winners of their justly won prizes. Also, in the event of an accident or medical condition, wrong information may have serious consequences. If you are unable to run, you can still pickup your race shirt (if you registered prior to posted deadline), at the package pickup times posted below on this page. Note: there will be no post-race shirt pickup.

Yes!  Walkers must not walk more than 2 side-by-side for safety reasons; faster runners from the other races will be approaching from behind. The following time limits apply.

Marathon – Early Start     6:30 a.m. (est. finish of 5:30-7:30 hrs only)
Marathon – Main Start     8:45 a.m. (est. finish of 5:29 or less)

Indicate your expected finishing time on your entry form. The finish line closes at 2:30 p.m.

Yes, the GoodLife Fitness Victoria Marathon course is IAAF and Athletics Canada certified and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon. It is also sanctioned by BC Athletics.

Victoria is 70 miles northwest of Seattle, WA and 50 miles south of Vancouver, BC. Victoria is a popular tourist destination for people from around the world and is easily accessible via a wide variety of air and sea transportation options.

Baby joggers are not allowed on course. Nordic Poles used for speed, fitness and endurance are not permitted in the Marathon, Half Marathon and 8K Road Race for insurance and safety reasons. Nordic Poles will be permitted for use by ‘mobility impaired’ participants. These participants must be wearing a ‘mobility impaired’ bib – anyone seen using Nordic Poles and not wearing this bib will be subject to disqualification. If an accident were to occur between a runner and a baby jogger or a walker with Nordic Poles, neither party would be covered by our event liability insurance.

iPods/ music listening devices are not encouraged but are permitted at the Victoria Marathon. Here is the disclaimer that applies to these devices:

Please keep your volume low enough so that you can hear the instructions of the volunteers, police and/or emergency vehicles along the route. This is for your safety.

Yes, if you cannot pick up your package, please arrange for someone to pick it up for you; they must have a copy of your registration confirmation email. Race numbers will be posted at Race Package Pickup.

Sorry, there are no refunds or deferrals. Until September 15 you can transfer to another runner. Login to your Race Roster account and follow the instructions once you click on Transfer. Course Tours, Carbo Gala Dinner, and Post-Race Massage are refundable until August 31st with a written request.

No. Registration ends at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 at the Victoria Conference Centre.

Yes. On recommendation from BC Athletics, Marathon participants must be 18 or older, and all Half Marathon participants must be 16 or older.
