Thrifty Foods Kids Run

Start & Finish - Willows Park - Oak Bay
The Thrifty Foods Kids Run, a component of the Royal Victoria Marathon, will take place on Race Weekend. This is a 1 km run starting and finishing at Willows Park (2740 Dalhousie St), intended for participants ages 12 and under. Parents are welcome to run alongside their child (no additional cost). The route is an out and back along the Esplanade.
Proceeds benefit KidSport Greater Victoria, a local organization dedicated to helping to ensure that all kids can access the benefits of organized sport and physical activity.
To date over 16,000 local children and youth have made it off the sidelines and onto the playing field through their support!

School Teams Deadlines
School Challenge
(Note: only public/private grade schools are eligible)
Schools that have 10 or more children entered in the Kids Run by midnight on October 2 will have their and packages delivered to the school team captain by Wednesday, October 9 for distribution at the school.
Kids who register for their school team after October 2 will pick up their registration package at the Race Expo on Friday October 11 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm OR on Saturday October 12 at Willows Beach Park from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
School teams with fewer than 10 registrants at midnight on October 2 will pick up their race packages from the Race Expo on Oct 11 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm OR on Saturday October 12 at Willows Beach Park from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

Largest School Team
The school with the most participants registered by Friday, Oct. 11 at 11:00 am will win a prize for their school. Details coming soon.
Largest Individual Kids Run Fundraiser
The Kids Run participant who raises the most pledges through their fundraising page will win a prize. Details coming soon.
FAQ
Where do we pick up our registration package?
Pick up your child’s registration package at the Race Expo, held at the Victoria Conference Centre, Crystal Gardens on Friday, Oct. 11 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. There will be pick up available on Saturday, October 12 from 9:00 am – 9:45 am at Willows Beach Park. We expect this time to busy, so would suggest picking up on Friday if possible.
*Exceptions: school teams with over 10 registered by October 2 will have packages delivered to their schools.
Can I register on Race Day?
No. Registration ends at 6:00 pm on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Victoria Conference Centre, Crystal Gardens, 713 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC V8W 3M7.
